Reading, Writing and Research
Course Description
This course will emphasize the development of analytical, integrative skills in reading and writing. Students will explore academic (interpretive, analytical, argumentative) writing based largely on reading of literary/imaginative texts linked by a common theme or issue. The course includes outside research leading to analysis, comparison, and synthesis in documented research paper.

EWRT 1B.02A: Open to all students who meet normal course prerequisites, have been accepted by formal application to the Study Abroad Florence program and have paid a program fee of ~$3,400 (which may include Financial Aid) plus airfare. All classes require permission of the instructor, Dr. Karen Chow, chowkaren@fhda.edu. Majority of course work takes place in Florence, Italy.
